"Saved from death for some special purpose?"

~Rev. Thecla St. Romain

Psalm 18:2-7 reveals a song David sang to
the Lord when the Lord had rescued him from
the grasp of all his enemies and from
the hand of Saul.

Let us prayerfully ponder the words in this
Psalm together. Let us pray them together.

"Help us to love you, O Lord our strength,

Once more reveal yourself as our rock, our
fortress, our deliverer.

God, only you are our rock of refuge, our
shield, the horn of our salvation (that is,
our deliverance), our stronghold!

Help us to praise you for us
to realize we are safe from our enemies.

The breakers of DEATH are all around us,

destroying floods have tried to
overwhelm us;

the cords of the nether world have tried
to enmesh us, the snares of death
have tried to overtake us.

Together we cry out to you Lord, hear
our voice...heal us.
