* Freedom From Fear *

To be free of fear, one must
.understand death

~ J. Krishnamurti ~

Most of us react out of fear, and are
stressed and haunted by it. If only
!we could free ourselves from fear
The great philosopher and spiritual teacher
J. Krishnamurti, revealed a way to do just
that. Brother Wayne Teasdale gives us
.the inspiring quote and a perceptive commentary

All fear is ultimately related to death; it's
.our emotional reaction to the great unknown
The unknown is like a wall around perception
.insight, and knowledge
We are uncertain of what is beyond this seeming
barrier to existence, thought many have been granted
through near-death experience, a prophetic vision of
the absolute future. Near-death studies have whittled
away at the dismissive skepticism that has ignored
the implications of this extraordinary phenomenon. If
we attain both an intimate realization of death's absolute
inevitability and an understanding that death is a doorway
a transition to a greater reality for us, our fear will
dissolve. With freedom from this looking apprehension, we
are made ready for life in its fullness; we exist
much more comprehensively when the totality of our being
.is engaged
Becoming free from fear isn't easy; it requires
.work and facing death's reality head-on

~ Adapted from The Mystic Hours, by Wayne Teasdale ~
